“After the distribution project manager change and the launching of the new news website, the sixth alpha release of openSUSE 10.3 was out: “Important Changes Since Alpha5: Linux 2.6.22; libzypp 3.11.8; gcc 4.2; Continued splitting of packages to reduce size; Introduction of x86_64 CDs for both KDE and GNOME. This is a first alpha release containing the new refactored libzypp software management library. The goal was to deliver a working version for this alpha, so expect rough edges, unusual slowdown and behavior, for example YaST integration is really alpha quality. All bug reports are very welcome.” Here is the full release announcement. A complete set of CD and DVD images are available for download either via BitTorrent or from these FTP/HTTP mirrors; here are two quick links to the new single-CD installation images (MD5): openSUSE-10.3-Alpha6-GNOME-i386.iso (671MB), openSUSE-10.3-Alpha6-KDE-i386.iso (690MB).”
E mais uma alpha!
